With dimensions of just 15×15 mm, it achieves an excellent balance between deep cooling and extremely low power consumption within an ultra-compact package, making it the ideal temperature control core for battery-powered portable devices.
This product is available in three chip configurations—K12, K20, and K28—with thicknesses of 3.2 mm, 4.0 mm, and 4.8 mm, respectively, corresponding to maximum cooling temperature differences of 60°C, 65°C, and 70°C (under a hot-end temperature of Th=40°C). It has a maximum voltage of just 3.7V, a maximum current of 2.2A, a maximum cooling power of 8W, and an internal resistance of 1.31Ω.
Compared to the 15×15 mm TEC1-03103 (3 A/11 W/0.96 Ω/60–70°C), the TEC1-03102 features a 27% reduction in current (2.2 A vs. 3 A) and power is reduced by 27% (8W vs. 11W), while maintaining the same maximum temperature difference of 70°C. Energy efficiency is significantly improved—it generates a temperature difference of 8.75°C per watt of power consumption (70°C/8W), compared to 6.36°C/W for the TEC1-03103, representing an efficiency improvement of approximately 38%.
Compared to the 15×15mm TEC1-03101 (1.4A/5W/2.06Ω/55–65°C), the TEC1-03102 offers a higher maximum temperature difference (70°C vs. 65°C), moderate power consumption (8W vs. 5W), and covers a wider temperature difference range.
Compared to the 15×15 mm TEC1-04901 (1.4 A/8 W/3.23 Ω/60–70°C/5.8 V), both models have the same power consumption (8 W), but the TEC1-03102 operates at a lower voltage (3.7 V vs. 5.8 V), making it better suited for use with a single-cell lithium battery, it has lower internal resistance (1.31Ω vs. 3.23Ω), and offers superior energy efficiency.

🔷Peltiers Operation Principle
TEC1-03102 utilizes the Peltier effect to achieve thermoelectric cooling. At its core, multiple pairs of P-type (Bi₂Te₃-Sb₂Te₃ hole-type) and N-type (Bi₂Te₃-Bi₂Se₃ electron-type) semiconductor grains are connected in series via metal lead-out plates to form a thermoelectric stack, which is sandwiched between two layers of highly thermally conductive 96% alumina ceramic substrates. The oxygen-free copper layer is only 0.2 mm thick, effectively reducing thermal mass and weight.
When a forward DC voltage (up to 3.7 V) is applied, a 2.2 A current drives holes in the P-type material and electrons in the N-type material to migrate in opposite directions. As the charge carriers cross the PN junction interface, the cold junction absorbs lattice vibration energy (phonons), causing the temperature to drop, while the hot junction releases energy, causing the temperature to rise. Under continuous electric field drive, heat is continuously “pumped” from the cold end to the hot end, achieving active cooling.
This product achieves a maximum temperature difference of 70°C at a hot-end temperature of 40°C (K28 model), meaning the cold end can reach as low as approximately -30°C. Achieving this temperature difference with an input power of 8 W results in an energy efficiency ratio of 8.75°C/W. Due to its extremely low power consumption and minimal self-generated heat, the product places minimal demands on heat dissipation systems—in most applications, a small heat sink or even natural convection alone is sufficient to meet heat dissipation requirements.
