1.Physical Basis: When a direct current passes through a circuit composed of two different conductors, one junction absorbs heat and cools, while the other releases heat and warms up—this is known as the Peltier effect. The key is that reversing the current direction causes the hot and cold ends to switch places.
2.Semiconductor Materials Are Key: The Peltier effect in ordinary metals is very weak and has no practical value. In contrast, P-type and N-type semiconductor materials produce a much stronger effect, making them the ideal core materials for cooling elements.
3.Internal Structure: Inside the TEC1-04910, P-type and N-type semiconductor blocks are arranged alternately. They are connected in series via conductive metal strips to form a circuit and are sandwiched between two heat-conductive, insulated ceramic plates.
